AN UNEXPECTED CHRISTMAS 

WHY CHRISTMAS IS BETTER THAN YOU IMAGINED

Christmas = Christ’s Mass 

Christ = Anointed One 

Mass = Celebration 

So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. 

John 1:14 (NLT) 

CHRISTMAS IS A STORY OF THE UNEXPECTED. 

This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit. 

Matthew 1:18 (NLT) 

She (Mary) gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them. 

Luke 2:7 (NLT) 

That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. 

Luke 2:8 (NLT) 

For a child is born to us, a son is given to us... 

Isaiah 9:6a (NLT) 

CHRISTMAS IS ALL ABOUT GOD DOING UNEXPECTED THINGS AT UNEXPECTED TIMES THROUGH UNEXPECTED PEOPLE.
